Low-value healthcare is increasingly recognized as a target to reduce costs and patient harm. An often-unnecessary laboratory test is serum folate, primarily measured when evaluating a patient for macrocytic anemia. New R3 Report Details New Standards Designed to Improve Perinatal Safety Two new standards designed to improve the quality and safety of perinatal care in Joint Commission-accredited hospitals will take effect July 1, 2020.
