Quality Review & Accountability AHRQ Study: One in Four Antibiotic Prescriptions for Privately Insured Patients Not Needed
Nearly one-quarter of 15.5 million antibiotic prescriptions filled in 2016 for privately insured patients were written for conditions where an antibiotic is almost never recommended, a new AHRQ study finds. The study examined prescriptions for more than 19 million privately insured children and adults under age 65. Read more
